NFL Power Rankings Week 9: Eagles and Ravens Reign Supreme with a Spooky Twist for Every Team

Happy Halloween, NFL fans! The Power Rankings are embracing the spooky season by highlighting something scary for each team. These scary factors can either frighten fans of the team or strike fear into their upcoming opponents. As we approach the halfway point of the NFL season, we hope these insights give you a better understanding of where each team stands.

1. Tennessee Titans (Last week: 2)
On Sunday, the Titans defeated the Washington Commanders with a score of 38-31. Something scary for others is A.J. Brown, the team’s dominant wide receiver. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 226 pounds, Brown is playing at a historic level. He has surpassed 125 receiving yards in six consecutive games, making him the first player in NFL history to achieve this feat. Brown currently ranks second in the league in receiving yards, behind only Tyreek Hill. Next up, the Titans face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.

2. Baltimore Ravens (Last week: 3)
In their victory over the Arizona Cardinals with a score of 31-24, the Ravens showcased something scary for others – quarterback Lamar Jackson under the guidance of offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Jackson has been performing at an MVP level, leading the league in total expected points added over the past three weeks. His completion percentage and yards per attempt are on pace to be career highs. The Ravens will face the Seattle Seahawks next on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

3. Miami Dolphins (Last week: 4)
After defeating the New England Patriots 31-17, the Dolphins have something scary for others – the return of Jalen Ramsey. The veteran safety made a comeback after just 94 days of recovering from a meniscus tear. In his Dolphins debut, Ramsey had an interception that he returned 49 yards, giving their defense more options under coordinator Vic Fangio. If their defense continues to improve and their offense remains strong, the Dolphins will become a formidable opponent. They will face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. ET in Frankfurt, Germany.

4. Kansas City Chiefs (Last week: 1)
Unfortunately, the Chiefs suffered a loss to the Denver Broncos with a score of 24-9. Something scary for them is the fear of anything happening to quarterback Patrick Mahomes. With Mahomes dealing with the flu and recording the second-lowest passer rating of his career on Sunday, the Chiefs struggled and lost to the Broncos for the first time in 17 meetings. The Chiefs will have to bounce back as they face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. ET in Frankfurt, Germany.

5. Detroit Lions (Last week: 6)
The Lions secured a win against the Las Vegas Raiders with a score of 26-14. Something scary for others is the potential of a playoff game at Ford Field. The Lions have not hosted a playoff game since January 8, 1994, when their home field was the Pontiac Silverdome. With the team performing well and the home crowd showing great support during the recent “Monday Night Football” game, the Eagles should be wary of the Lions’ rise. The Lions have a bye week next.
