Sha’Carri Richardson sprinted like a champion in the women’s 4×100 relay in Saint-Denis, France. With the elite American sprinters before her, Richardson still had work to do despite not needing a quick start.
At the anchor leg, Richardson found herself in fourth place with 90 meters to go. Trusting Gabby Thomas, she surged past France and Germany to secure the win.
This victory marked Richardson’s first Olympic gold medal with a sensational 10.09-second performance. Team USA finished in 41.78 seconds, claiming the women’s 4×100 relay crown once again.

This victory adds to America’s dominant display in women’s sprints, marking their third consecutive major international championship. Despite missing top Jamaican sprinters, Team USA showcased their strength in Paris.
