PICTURES MATTER
Pictures are important as they reinforce ideas and provide clarity.
We draw to better understand the stories we come across.
In the following pages, we will demonstrate how simple pictures can enhance the thinking process.
Why Pictures Matter: Example #1
Team A handles large accounts while Team B handles small accounts. Both teams earn $50 million in profits. Team A requires fewer people to manage fewer clients, resulting in higher yields per client compared to Team B. Team B has more clients than Team A, but generates equal profits. However, Team B needs more staff to handle the larger client base.
While words can explain this situation, pictures effectively reinforce the message, clearly showing the need for additional staff in Team B.
Example #2
In the past, Company M dominated the niche market and made huge profits. However, with new competitors like Companies A, B, and C entering the market, Company M’s profitability has decreased. It is crucial for Company M to reassess its offerings and possibly change its market positioning to stay relevant and profitable.
Example #3
Company X needs to understand and meet customer demands effectively. By analyzing customer preferences, like Design, Company X can identify gaps in meeting customer needs. This insight should prompt Company X to adapt and align its strategies to better serve customers.
