Unveiling of a Public-Private Partnership for Education Development with Deputy Prime Minister and US Ambassador in Attendance

While participating in a conference launching a public-private sector partnership for education development, H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, emphasized the government’s efforts to enhance partnerships with the private sector across various fields. She highlighted the private sector’s crucial role in driving inclusive and sustainable growth and achieving economic development.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in collaboration with NextEra and was attended by H.E. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, H.E. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Ms. Herro Mustafa Garg, Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar, and officials from private sector companies, entrepreneurs, and relevant institutions in the education sector.

Al-Mashat stressed the importance of investing in human capital to achieve economic development and sustainability, particularly in education to empower future leaders. She emphasized the significance of public-private partnerships in this regard.

The Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation is actively working to implement evidence-based development policies, enhance partnerships with the private sector through structural reforms, and collaborate with international partners to bridge development gaps in alignment with government priorities and vision.

Al-Mashat highlighted how public-private partnerships are driving innovative development models, especially in the education sector. She also emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and startups, noting Egypt’s potential in this area due to its infrastructure and human resources.

The Minister discussed Egypt’s advanced technological infrastructure and growth in ICT, emphasizing how these factors strengthen partnerships with the private sector and drive entrepreneurship, contributing to inclusive and sustainable growth.

In conclusion, Al-Mashat reiterated that development gaps present opportunities for innovation and sustainable solutions in various sectors.

At the event, partnerships were signed between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, NextEra, and several international universities, all witnessed by H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat and H.E. Dr. Ayman Ashour.
