President El-Sisi Holds Meeting with US Secretary of State Blinken

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his delegation, with Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Badr Abdelatty, General Abbas Kamel, and U.S. Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg also in attendance.

According to Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Ahmed Fahmy, Blinken conveyed greetings from President Joe Biden and praised Egypt’s role in regional stability. El-Sisi highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership between Egypt and the U.S. in securing both countries’ interests and regional security.

The meeting discussed the situation in the Palestinian territories, with a focus on ceasefire negotiations, hostage exchange, and humanitarian aid delivery. El-Sisi emphasized the urgent need to provide aid to Gaza and halt Israel’s violations in the West Bank, in addition to advocating for a two-state solution for lasting peace.

Regional developments were also addressed, with El-Sisi rejecting escalation in the region and expressing solidarity with Lebanon after a cyberattack. Both leaders committed to working together to establish calm and enhance regional security.

The talks also touched on efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, with a mutual commitment to resume strategic dialogue. This dialogue was set to take place during Blinken’s visit, aiming to advance the common interests of both countries.
