VistaJet strengthens China-Africa business connections, driving cross-continental trade.

VistaJet (VistaJet.com) gathered business leaders, heads of state, and governments at the 9th Forum of China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing from September 4 to 6. The FOCAC summit, held once every 3 years alternating between China and Africa, aims to enhance the China-Africa cooperation and relationship.

As per the International Monetary Fund (IMF) (http://apo-opa.co/3z2FR7f), China has emerged as Africa’s largest trading partner through initiatives like the Belt and Road Initiative. Approximately 20% of the region’s exports go to China, and around 16% of Africa’s imports come from China. This resulted in a record-high total trade volume of $282 billion in 2023. By expanding the private aviation network in both China and Africa, VistaJet plays a vital role in fostering business connections and driving economic growth in these regions.

During this year’s FOCAC, China reaffirmed its commitment to Africa’s development by pledging nearly $51 billion in support over the next three years, backing more infrastructure projects and creating at least 1 million jobs. Similarly, the second Indonesia-Africa Forum took place in Bali in early September, where Indonesia established 32 business partnerships valued at over $3.5 billion, showcasing the growing relationship between Asia and Africa.

Philippe Scalabrini, President of Europe and Africa at VistaJet, commented: “Private aviation’s role extends beyond air mobility. It not only provides the safest and most efficient point-to-point travel but also facilitates collaboration and exploration of new opportunities. VistaJet, trusted by world leaders, focuses on delivering rigorous safety, security, and guaranteed aircraft availability to offer maximum efficiency in private travel.”

Throughout 2023, VistaJet experienced a 35% year-on-year growth in its Members’ base, particularly in Africa. The demand for services from Africa and China continues to rise in 2024, with the Challenger 605 being preferred for regional flights and the Global 7500 for long-haul travel up to 17 hours non-stop. VistaJet has deployed a dedicated fleet in Africa over the past 12 months to accommodate the increasing flight demand in the continent, China, and globally.

With a Members’ fleet covering 96% of the world, VistaJet continues to facilitate economic development in various regions and underscore the vital role of private aviation in fostering business opportunities and economic growth. VistaJet is committed to delivering exceptional service to help businesses maximize their global potential efficiently.
