Troy Aikman is finally starting to enjoy winning after never losing at anything.

DALLAS — After finishing his pitch, Troy Aikman heads to the bar at Andrews Distributing in Dallas. Flashing his famous half-smile, he asks, “What can I get ya?” The only beer on tap is his own.

It’s a Monday afternoon in late summer just north of Dallas. Employees at the beer distributor are encouraged to enjoy a cold one after a day’s work. Aikman, the Dallas Cowboys legend, Hall of Famer, and “Monday Night Football” analyst, has just concluded a lively sales rally for Eight, the beer company he founded in 2022, and now he’s serving drinks.

“How about that pour?” Aikman asks as he serves a beer.

Although he doesn’t need to be there tending bar, signing autographs, and sharing stories, Aikman enjoys being hands-on. He takes pride in his work ethic, which stems from lessons learned during his upbringing.

His dedication to his beer brand reflects his approach to success in football and broadcasting. Aikman believes in hard work and refuses to cut corners, values instilled in him by his father from a young age.

The success Aikman achieved on the football field didn’t come without inner turmoil. Despite his achievements, he struggled with happiness and fulfillment, especially during his marriages. Reflecting on those challenges, Aikman has learned to appreciate contentment and the journey it took to find it.

Now, at 57, Aikman maintains a disciplined lifestyle focused on health and wellness. He continues to challenge himself and pursue new endeavors while finding peace within himself.

Through his experiences, Aikman has come to understand the balance between success and personal fulfillment, a realization that has brought him a sense of contentment and peace.
