Outlier Ventures has teamed up with Morgan Creek Digital to introduce their inaugural accelerator initiative in Latin America. Known as LATAM Base Camp, the program is scheduled to commence in September, aiming to tap into the growing potential of Web3 startups throughout Latin America.
The program will offer support to chosen startups, including a funding injection of up to $200K and extensive mentorship from industry veterans. As a Venture Partner, Morgan Creek Digital will have a critical role in guiding the startups during the 12-week virtual program. The initiative will provide resources in both English and local languages, Spanish and Portuguese, ensuring wide accessibility and engagement.
LATAM’s Web3 ecosystem has seen rapid growth and increased adoption of blockchain technologies, making it an ideal environment for such an endeavor. “The LATAM region is filled with entrepreneurial energy and innovation, and we are thrilled to back and elevate the next wave of Web3 tech innovators,” said Benjamin Meyer, Chief Growth Officer at Outlier Ventures.
Applications for the LATAM Base Camp are now open, welcoming startups at the forefront of technological and financial innovations. The program is designed not only to provide financial support but also strategic guidance in areas like product roadmap development, community building, and entity structuring.
Mark Yusko, Managing Partner of Morgan Creek Digital, expressed, “We are eager to strengthen our partnership and establish an accelerator program tailored to supporting Web3 founders in Latin America who are spearheading innovation and addressing regional challenges and opportunities.”
The collaboration between Outlier Ventures and Morgan Creek Digital has previously led to the growth of several successful startups, with previous LATAM alumni including Sati, Takenos, Drex, and Tropykus. Notably, Capa, another LATAM alumni, recently secured $1.5 million in pre-seed funding with an investment from Morgan Creek Digital.
Outlier Ventures intends to launch a similar accelerator program in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region later this year.
