Azule Energy’s Vow to Angola Renewed as They Lead in Launching the World’s First Eco-Friendly Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Vessel.

In an effort to strengthen its position in the global energy market, Angola is focusing on increasing oil and gas production to offset expected natural declines. The country aims to boost oil output to 1.1 million barrels per day (bpd) and raise the share of natural gas in its energy mix to 25% by 2025. These initiatives will support the Angola LNG facility and contribute to the country’s energy goals. Azule Energy, with significant investments in upstream projects, is set to play a key role in helping Angola achieve its ambitious energy targets.

Enhancing Energy Security through Upstream Investments

Azule Energy is a major independent producer of oil and gas in Angola, holding two billion barrels equivalent of net resources and stakes in multiple licenses and the Angola LNG joint venture. The company aims to increase oil production, accelerate gas monetization, and develop renewable energy projects to align with the government’s energy security objectives. Projects like the Agogo Integrated West Hub development will further contribute to the country’s energy production capacity.

Aside from new developments, Azule Energy is committed to maximizing output from existing fields and participating in the Incremental Production Program to drive energy security in Angola. The company’s focus on mature fields and operated blocks demonstrates its dedication to supporting Angola’s energy sector growth.

Furthermore, Azule Energy is spearheading the country’s first non-associated gas project through the New Gas Consortium (NGC), enhancing gas monetization and supporting diversification efforts.
