Three startups – Mylo Speech Buddy, BCRemit, and PAMMÉ – emerged as the winners of cohort 3 in the ARISE Plus Ye! Boost Accelerator Program during its Demo Day in Taguig City, Philippines.
The ARISE Plus Ye! Boost Accelerator, initiated in 2021, is a 14-week program aimed at supporting youth-led startups with internationalization assistance. Funded by the European Union (EU) and managed by the International Trade Centre (ITC) in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry – Competitiveness Innovation Group (DTI-CIG) and QBO Innovation.

PAMMÉ, a sustainable fashion brand creating accessories from recycled plastic by marginalized women, took the third spot and a pitch prize of US$1,000.
Aside from the monetary rewards, the winners will also receive opportunities to strengthen their networks with EU partners and investors as they expand their presence in the global market.

Titled ‘Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in the Philippines – Network Analysis and Mapping of Institutions Supporting Youth Entrepreneurship,’ the report aims to create an inclusive environment for young entrepreneurs to innovate, thrive, and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
Key recommendations from the report include establishing a TBI info-sharing network, developing a country guide for entrepreneur support services, and extending support beyond the tech sector.
The Philippine startup ecosystem has shown resilience and growth despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, with significant sectors such as fintech, e-commerce, education, healthcare, and agriculture making strides in 2021.
