Angola is aiming to elevate oil production to 1.1 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2027 and maintain it at this level thereafter. To fuel production growth, the country is encouraging investments in exploration, with various drilling campaigns planned on both onshore and offshore sites.

To drive investment in exploration, Angola is gearing up to unveil its next oil tender in Q1 of 2025, offering up to 10 blocks in the Kwanza and Benguela basins. Angola’s national concessionaire, the National Oil, Gas&Biofuels Agency, is currently finalizing terms for a 12-block tender from January 2024. The country anticipates the drilling of 43 wells throughout 2024, along with incremental production drilling at existing assets.
As AES positions itself to support upcoming concessions, its facilities in Luanda and Soyo offer essential waste management services. The company’s comprehensive offerings encompass thermal desorption, incineration, landfill services, tank cleaning, cargo transport units, recycling, and more, all crucial for oil and gas operations.
