Introducing the 16 startups featured at AppWorks’s 28th demo day.

Taiwan’s AppWorks Accelerator recently showcased the 16 startups that took part in its 28th demo day in Taipei.

The cohort included companies focusing on connecting social commerce with offline channel logistics, developing innovative payment solutions, and creating new applications for blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI).

AW#28 welcomed a total of 38 startups, with founders representing 17 different countries and regions, including Greater Southeast Asia, the UAE, South Korea, the US, France, and Finland.

A significant 20 per cent of the startups featured female founders.

Among the companies showcased at AW#28’s demo day were:

ADPList: A global mentorship platform for accessing expert knowledge (Singapore)

XO: An AI-powered and blockchain-verified conversational platform for Gen Z (Taiwan)

Borong: A B2B bulk e-commerce platform (Malaysia)

EQUO: An omnichannel platform offering curated, high-performance products for conscientious consumers (Vietnam)

Orderfaz: A platform for social commerce sellers similar to Shopify (Indonesia)

Event Horizon: A DAO meta-governance layer (the US)

Return Helper: An end-to-end solution for cross-border e-commerce returns (Hong Kong)

ShipAny: A smart logistics gateway for e-commerce (Hong Kong)

ABConvert: A specialized A/B testing tool for e-commerce (Taiwan)

Ajourney: A comprehensive HR and payroll platform for businesses in Southeast Asia (Singapore)

Quantlytica: An AI-powered crypto asset management infrastructure (Finland)

Olli: An AI-powered operating system for toy manufacturers to personalize children’s toys (the US)

Qiro Finance: An on-chain private credit protocol (Singapore)

Exchequer Finance: A platform allowing projects to self-insure token risk (Singapore)

“With the addition of AW#28, we have now nurtured 563 active startups in 14 years. Among them, 30 per cent have successfully raised Series A funding or beyond, and nearly 100 can be considered large enterprises with revenue exceeding US$6 million or have successfully completed IPOs/IEOs. Additionally, there are nearly 100 hidden champions that have achieved sustained profitability through bootstrapping,” said Jamie Lin, Chairman and Partner of AppWorks.
