Get to know the 8 startups participating in Innovate UK’s incubator programme in Singapore

The Innovate UK Global Incubator Programme has returned to Singapore, aiming to foster collaborations between UK companies and Singapore’s startup ecosystem, with a focus on sustainability and cleantech this year.

This initiative is a partnership between Singapore Deep Tech Alliance (SDTA), Better Earth Ventures (BEV), and Innovate UK.

Eight UK-based startups have been selected for the 8-month programme, which includes two immersion visits to Singapore, coaching, mentoring, and expert sessions on product development and go-to-market strategy.

Participants will also have access to SDTA’s and BEV’s professional networks and resources.

Jon Hazell, Partnership Manager at Innovate UK, highlighted Singapore’s role as a hub for sustainability and innovation, offering opportunities for global ventures. The collaboration with SDTA and BEV will facilitate deeper understanding of Southeast Asia’s market dynamics and drive collaboration and innovation.

Below are brief bios of the eight participating startups:

Compact Syngas Solution (CSS): Develops modular gasification technology for waste conversion.

Molymem: Offers nanofiltration ceramic products for water applications.

FloatSync: Developing a plastic recycling system.

Waterwhelm: Utilizes Forward Osmosis technology for water reuse.

Persium: Provides air pollution analytics and solutions.

BioBright LTD: Combines monitoring tech with algae cultivation for environmental monitoring.

Water Offsets Ltd: Focuses on circular water economies.

Volador Energy: Specializes in immersion-cooled battery technology.
