Exploring the intersection of education and innovation in Kigali through May 29 to May 31

eLearning Africa, the continent’s leading conference and exhibition on digital learning, training, and skills development, is scheduled to hold its 2024 edition from 29-31 May in Kigali, Rwanda. Hosted by the Ministry of Education, Rwanda, this event will bring together experts, educators, policymakers, business leaders, and innovators focusing on education, training, and skills development in Africa.

The theme for this year, “Education Fuels Innovation, Investment Amplifies Skills: Africa’s Vibrant Leap Forward,” emphasizes the crucial relationship between education, investment, and innovation in shaping Africa’s future. With over 72 sessions and workshops, eLearning Africa 2024 offers a platform for collaboration in various sectors, including education, vocational training, workplace learning, and capacity building in key areas like 4IR, AI, TVET, tourism, health, and agriculture.

The Minister of State for Education, Hon. Claudette Irere, highlighted the importance of blended learning to enhance access to quality education and prepare students for the technological advancements of the 21st century.

The exhibition at eLearning Africa 2024 will feature leading international and African education, training, and technology companies, showcasing a wide range of innovative EdTech solutions. From gamified learning apps to augmented reality devices, the exhibition caters to academic, corporate, and public sector learning needs.

Rebecca Stromeyer, CEO & Founder of eLearning Africa, underscored the event’s role in promoting digital technologies for education and skills development, empowering Africa’s youth in the digital era.

The conference will include plenary sessions on integrating technology with education to drive innovation and skill development, aligning with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and Sustainable Development Goals.

Keynote speakers at the event include Hon. Minister of Education Gaspard Twagirayezu, Dr. Laila Macharia, Frank van Cappelle, and Hon. Michael Onyango.
