Finally, the NFL Draft has kicked off in Detroit.
The first round is complete, giving hope to the 32 teams that made selections. More action in Rounds 2 and 3 on Friday night, followed by Rounds 4 through 7 on Saturday.
We’ll have to wait and see how these picks turn out, but that won’t stop us from analyzing.
Let’s take a look at the winners and losers of the first round.
Winners
Quarterbacks – Six quarterbacks were picked in the first 12 selections, setting a fast pace. These QBs bring hope to their new teams for better days ahead.
Offensive players – The draft had a strong offensive trend with 23 offensive players picked in the first round compared to nine defensive players.
