With less than two weeks until the start, Africa Travel Week (ATW) has announced an exciting content programme for WTM Africa 2024, aimed at enhancing industry knowledge, connections, and business growth. Over 73 live sessions will be held from 10 – 12 April at the Cape Town International Conference Centre (CTICC).

“2024 is a significant year for our industry and WTM Africa, as we celebrate a decade of hosting Africa’s top B2B inbound and outbound tourism trade event. We have put a lot of effort into elevating our content programme to reflect this milestone,” says Olivia Gradidge, Marketing Manager, Africa Travel Week.

This year’s event will cover various industry and business topics such as responsible tourism, MICE and business travel, travel tech and AI, social media marketing, inclusivity, and sports tourism. The Africa Travel Week Trends Report will also be released, followed by a panel discussion on Friday, 12 April at 13h30 in the Spotlight Theatre.

In addition to expert-led presentations and panels, Gradidge introduces the new Brain Box concept, designed to encourage collaborative, attendee-driven discussions.

“The theme for this year’s content programme is ‘Step Inside’, inviting participants to engage in interactive Brain Box sessions. These sessions aim to bring together tourism professionals of all levels to discuss and find solutions to common challenges.”

Sustainability is a major focus at WTM Africa, with official show partners playing a key role in the content programme. Fair Trade Tourism, for example, will host a Brain Box workshop on how responsible destinations and initiatives can reach the global marketplace.

“There is something for everyone in our three-day content programme, but to make the most of it, you must register and join us. You will leave feeling more informed, connected, and empowered to drive your business forward,” concludes Gradidge.
